The first annual “Fall Classic” was held on Oct. 22, 2006. The event started with lunch at the restaurant at Grafton Harbor marina from 11:00AM to 1:00PM. The cruise left the harbor at approximately 1:30PM headed south toward Alton along the Great River road. We returned to Grafton Harbor at approximately 5:00PM for coffee and snacks at the restaurant.
The weather was “chilly” high of 48 degrees, partly sunny, and windy. The bluffs along the river were in full fall color and beautiful. There were 6 cruisers that took part in the cruise. There were 31 passengers on those 6 boats and that represented 11 chapter memberships. The general opinion of the cruise was very favorable. There were two possible new members because of the cruise.
